Commencing construction of BK Thien Ung platform, Lot 04-3
BK Thien Ung platform belongs to Thien Ung field project block 04-3 with two contractors, Vietnam Oil and Gas Group and OAO Zarubezhneft Open Joint Stock Company as the investor, Vietnam – Russia Joint Venture Vietsovpetro is the operator and operator. General contractor, PVC – MS and LILAMA 18 companies are subcontractors carrying out the fabrication of the base and superstructure.
BK Thien Ung project is part of the Nam Con Son 2 (NCS2) gas pipeline project chain with a total investment of 1.3 billion USD, including: 325 km of sea pipeline, 30km of onshore pipeline and processing plant. gas (GPP). The project includes 4 component projects: Nam Con Son Gas Pipeline Project – Phase 1: Pre-construction of about 151 km of 26″ pipeline of NCS2 Project from Thien Ung platform to Bach Ho field area; Dai Hung gas gathering project; Project to supplement and upgrade infrastructure in Bach Ho field area to receive Thien Ung – Dai Hung gas.

As for PVN, when Thien Ung mine comes into operation, it will be very important in developing a number of other blocks in the Nam Con Son lowland area. Therefore, today’s groundbreaking for BK Thien Ung is not only meaningful in the development of the Joint Venture but also makes an important contribution to the stable development of Vietnam Oil and Gas Group.
This is a very complex project and the project implementation schedule is very urgent, so General Director Tu Thanh Nghia requested the units in the Joint Venture to participate in the construction of BK Thien Ung platform, especially the Construction Enterprise. will coordinate closely with subcontractors PVC – MS and LILAMA 18 to complete on schedule.

However, currently, in the context of deep-water areas far from shore with many sensitive issues, PVN implemented the project in a short time, completing the project in June under unfavorable sea weather conditions.
